I always wonder ....Who ya got? In their primes. Tyson said Ali would have murdered him. I ain't so sure. Followed by, Jordan or Lebron? Montana vs Brady? Greg Maddox vs Smoltz?
Tyson Jordan Montana Maddox Can you imagine soft ass LeBron in the Jordan era? Hahaha. Then again it might have made him tougher on defense and mentally. Oof. A lot of very good boxers tried to out box iron mike. Tried. Hated Montana but still. Honestly Maddox/Smolts was the toughest for me to call. Tyson Jordan Brady Maddux Jordan vs Lebron shouldn’t even be a debate nor should Montana vs Brady. Ik I’m gonna rub some the wrong way with that Brady and Montana statement, but it is what it is Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
LeBron can play defense against any position on the court. His physical size would have made him excellent in any era of the NBA.
Tyson in his prime with Cus. 3 rounds Tyson would knock him out Jordan Brady Maddox (this to me is the hardest one)
Between Maddox and Smoltz it isn't even close, Maddox. In my opinion Maddox is the greatest pitcher in relation to what he could do. What I mean by that, there is VERY VERY few pitchers that literally dominated games with their craft and not just a "power pitch" or go to pitch. Dude was straight art on the bump.
Interesting that I have met both Tyson and Ali. For the short amount of time spent they were perfect gentleman. Ali sat with my grandfather for about 20 minutes at LaGuardia airport and talked about old times, my grandfather was at his first fight at MSG. ALI at the time, you could tell was suffering from his long career of boxing as his speech was strained, however his eyes were bright and clear and there was obvious recognition as my grandfather spoke to him. At one point in the story ali teared up. He gave my grandfather a hug before departing and I shook his hand. For years and year after my grandfather would ask me if I remembered meeting Ali and would retell the story. It was one of his fondest memories.
Tyson if winning by knockout. Ali if a knock out win is eliminated and it is decided by points. Tyson vs Holyfield proved Tyson can't win if it has to be decided by points. Jordan the number of titles with the same team doesn't even make this close. Montana because spygate and deflate gate. At best, two of Brady's championships are questionable. Maddox.
There is a pair of Maddox's cleats in cooperstown, he had the weirdest pad like thing on the toe and side of his shoe of his plant foot. Never noticed it when he was pitching.
Tyson in his early years, when he could land a punch, was brutal. So many early round knock outs. It was interesting seeing him coming up through the ranks as a young phenom in the Albany area. Ali always had speed and good foot work. He also had good endurance when needed. Would've been interesting if there were contemporaries.
Tyson would have beat Ali by knock out. But it would have had to be in the first 3 rounds. Joe Montana was much tougher than Brady. Although he did have Jerry Rice. Jordan, well he's Jordan for pete sake..He is the NBA. Lebron is a freak of nature, but I don't think he has the guts and determination of Jordan, Bird, Magic etc... Maddox, a scientist on the mound and no fast ball. He was sick good..in fact, that whole damn team was stacked
Ali would have danced for five rounds until Tyson was tired and over punched, And then taken it to him. Ali was a much better cerebral fighter.
