I’ve been kinda worried the past week. Last Thursday my brother (I hunt with him in Kentucky) called and said he and his wife had tested positive for COVID-19. I guess there was no need to worry. He’s fine now and they’ve released him from quarantine. I was talking with him last week and I told him he absolutely had to make it because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to hunt Kentucky. He laughed at that.

Down south we like to make things a little more difficult so we limit ourselves to antler buttons as far as bullseyes are concerned.
I’ve yet to kill a buck with a bow. Hopefully whatever team I’m on is alright with my doe killing prowess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You do you, the teams and points will be what they are. There’s a lot more to it than the winner. That’s what I love about the contest. You’re going to be on a team with people you’ve never met, but wether your chasing your first buck, or your 5th 150” buck, most teammates will root you on just the same.
Last year a team that had everyone shoot a doe and half the members shoot a 120” buck would have won. The only bad teammate is one that disappears shortly after checking in when teams are made. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
That makes me feel better about this. This is my first time doing a team hunt... thing.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bowhunt is exactly right. I've never been on a bad team, just had bad teammates. The ones that sign up and never participate in the team suck! It's understandable that "things" happen. Just let everyone know. Just like saying ya shot a deer and not showing up for over a month. It's amazing how many people are willing to help with the track and support each other and who are hanging on the refresh button so they don't miss something envolved with the hunt.
You guys couldn't be more correct. You notice it first when the teams are assigned and we have to chase people down to get them to Check In. I get it, we all have lives to live, but you volunteered for this. No one twisted your arm. My wife talks about how she hated group projects or group assignments in school. 2-3 people do work, yet the whole group gets credit for a great job. There is always a weak link or dead weight. But, those of us that get pumped up for the competition, we will keep it going. With that being said, BRING IT!!
Hopefully rest works, but if I must get a shot then I will. I'm off work until at least Aug. 18th for surgery then light duty an additional 2 weeks, so hopefully while recouping from that it'll heal itself.
Whatever team I am on this year is going to be lucky. I think I’m due. Get a buck once every 3-4 years so, this might be 3-4 Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
