Well that did not go as planned I only brought 1 lure and something hit it and took it, 35 pound spider wire tore off like nothing. Isn't that something I would rather get skunked than have something big hit and lose it and the $7 spoon.

As a 38 year resident of Illinois I’ve been to Chit-cago 2 times. Some of the least memorable times in my life. I will never go back unless it’s Just passing through at the airport.

I got a power pole from a buddy of mine but only needed half of it, 18 feet. While trying to figure out what to do with the other half I decided to stake it behind the dumpsters as a curb stop to prevent the waste management guys from shoving them on the lawn. Working good so far.

However, one of the employees threw a fit about it and claimed it was a real inconvenience when taking out the trash. She did say that she will try to work around it. SMH

I’ve lived here 51+ years (downstate at least), as soon as I retire I’ll leave skid marks getting away from this dump.

Working this hail storm in NW Arkansas and living at a hotel until I find a furnished apartment. Last night or early this morning, I wake up at 3.30am and am overwhelmed by a smell that I can only describe as kind of a burning hair smell and cigarettes. This is a nice hotel and non smoking. Didnt bother me enough to get up so I just pulled the sheets over my face and went back to sleep. Woke up just about every hour and could smell this burning hair like smell. I suspect I know what I was smelling now.. @virginiashadow would I be correct in assuming that some tweakers were nearby?

I used to think that running a leaf blower or weed whip was the worst homeowner task possible. Who ever invented the lake weed cutting wheel I hate you. I liken it to trying to push pole a jon boat thru milfoil infested lilly pads. This task is a task like cleaning fish, butchering chickens, or gutting horse stalls no matter the time of day these tasks are being done there will be an open beer.

weatherbug ap- Not a speck of rain forecast until 7pm

I start putting down RoskSolid deck coating at 10a (needs 4 hours to set for light traffic.) Done with first coat by 1130.
massive thunderstorm moves in at 1205pm

Between renting the sanders, pads, yadda yadda paint, brushes; etc- I could have bought all composit decking for about $300 more and never had to F with the damn deck again.

I came up my million $ idea today. The lake weed rollers do not work, the bladed cutter does not work. I found what works best is a crabgrass rake zip tied and electrical taped to a 12 foot pole works awesome. 5 wheelbarrows of weeds later the area around the dock is clear.

I saved about $10 per composite board going to Menards as opposed to the depot or local lumber yard but man, the service there sucks. Picked and loaded the whole shooting match myself. Forgot how heavy pressure treated 6x6x 12’ are.

If I bite the bullet and go all new that's going to be a fun demo, too. All the old screws have paint filled heads

Whatever it was it stank. Whether it was some bimbo doing her hair or dopers I chewed a manager out pre coffee at 6.30am this morning and my next four nights at that Marriot are free.
