While having coffee and on the computer yesterday morning I had a couple of does and their fawns come visit. While the fawns were playing some turkeys came off the hill and down near the deer. It was entertaining to watch as the fawns began to harass the turkeys. When the turkeys started to get feisty, momma doe would intervene.

This is type of yard I've always wanted. So peaceful. BTW, I was able to tell my dogs to keep quiet so I could watch and they did. That is a feat in itself!

    Pics taken through dirty windows.....

Memories, hubby saw this a.m.'s pick and said do you remember.....
One spring we got permission to pick fiddle heads off a farmers friends land. The kids were tiny son on my back in a carrier and mosquito net and daughter three. It was hot and mosquitos thick but the picking was wild. we got enough to eat fresh and freeze buckets full. We got home and hubby was putting things away and I was changing and getting son down for a nap. I had put a bucket next to sink on counter. Our daughter who was suppose to be busy re filling her toy box in living room decided to help mommy. She dragged an island stool to sink tipped the buck and filled sink with the fiddle heads. Then promptly squirted half a bottle of Palmolive over them. I was entering kitchen as she turned on the faucet. " what are you doing! " She turns with a big smile and says " I'm helping you mommy. " LOL
Literally hours of rinsing and soaking. Still a slight taste of soap.
Hubby and I had a good laugh over that memory this morning

Those are memories that get you thru the trying times. I get flooded with memories when I watch my little girl take care of her baby. Sets off my allergies, eyes water and nose runs. Yeah I will admit it I am a softie when it comes to my kids and my grandson.

So the reason why I moved to where I did is on his way over with his Mom and Dad, Sunday dinner and a pontoon ride. I do not want to go to work in the morning.

Spent the weekend tubing with the fiancé and friends in PA. Rained non stop. Had a blast. Didn’t think about COVID one time.

taking last night's spicy venison taco meat, cubing and sauteeing a sweet potato, put it all in a bowl and then slip 2 over easy eggs on top. Mix it all up in the bowl getting the yolk all mixed in. Good god, my favorite breakfast ever. And it doesn't even have bacon!
