I was being serious, that's the kind of positive feedback I was hoping for. Real and to the point.

I've water witched with brass rods, but gotta wonder about witching for a lost arrow. Work for both Aluminum and carbon?
I will now be setting an arrow in the yard tonight and walking over it with some bent coat hangers. Can't resist, even if you're messing around and I'm just giving you a good laugh.

If the arrow is hollow it will work I have used it on carbon arrows back in the day.

To the OP's question, I rarely lose an arrow from missing a target as they are usually easily found because of all the pieces. I rarely seem to have one not get destroyed if it misses ("it" misses, not me ). Probably average a couple a year.

I need to see video proof this works. If so I am heading out to the range and making an honest effort to collect about $150 that the field behind the 100 yard target owes me.

My Grandpa called this dowsing. He could locate buried water lines, where to dig a well and I even seen him find a nut and washer that had come off a lawnmower once. The later I believe was horse chit and I've always thought he was messing with me.

I also want to see a video. There is a nearby park that owes me a couple of arrows if this actually works.

Works on underground pipe, conduit, overhead power lines you do not need a special gift just 2 bent wires one in each hand.

As far as a tracking cat I know what I watched had 2 gifted vocal cats and one defended a buck from a gray fox trying to eat the ass out of it.

Fine, I will bite, how what should the bent wire look like and how high above the ground should I hold it? I have a bent up clothes hanger I can use.

I would go about 18" then 90 degree bend. Hold the wires in a closed fist about chest high what ever is comfortable with the wires straight out. when you go over the arrow the wires will swing and align when you are over the arrow.

When it comes to target archery I shoot ASA known 45. Honestly I take my max yardage of my class and add 10 yards for practice. I shoot 60 arrows at 55yds. And if I don’t shoot 55/60 in the 10 ring I shoot another 20. If I don’t shoot 15/20 in the 10 ring I shoot another 20. Maxing out my practice reps at 100. If I get the first 55 in I move down to 40yds for 20. And then on to 30yds for the last 20. Arrow loss is occasionally going to happen. But I try to prevent it by putting a bag or block target under my 3D target.
