Yep that's it. My buddy fumbled his car keys into the lake there. He drove us there. Ha! We just kept fishing of course.

Took my boys fishing at a local G & F stocked pond last night. My oldest caught 1 bream and two 1 lb catfish. The rest of us got skunked. Although, one of the catfish was on my wife's rod and he was checking her bait while she was taking the toddler to the bathroom. Am I the only one stupid enough to go fishing with kids while trying to toilet train a toddler? I hope so.

I've been to Leech lake the last 2 weekends and have 0 walleyes to show for it. This weekend will be my time to shine.

The wife would beat me for posting that meme. She is my main fishing partner. Rarely do I need to fight about going. Only if I am behind on one of her projects does it become an issue.

I had a pretty good day today.

I went to a lake called Duck Creek this morning and fished for about two hours. After only catching six Chain Pickerel, I loaded the boat and went to another spot about fifteen minutes away.

I caught nine bass and one stinkin’ Bowfin.

The biggest bass was only about 2 1/2 pounds. I didn’t take any live fish photos but I did take one group pic:

Smallest bass I have ever caught, got him on a minnow that was almost as long has him haha!

Update: the bite was pretty slow, but it was still a nice day. I was targeting panfish/bullhead.
    Caught
4 perch, only two were worth keeping
    4 bluegill, kept one.
    1 crappie
    1 bullhead
    1 bass fry.

Going to try a local lake for crappie this evening. Spawn is slowing down big time at the lake I was catching at.

Has anyone had experience with these boats? I’m intrigued.

I’ll say...I don’t really ever plan on hooking a boat up to a track hoe or pulling down the road without a trailer but good to know if you hit a stump or some rocks it might hold up. I think this guy used to work for excel or some other major brand boat.

Memorial Day weekend was more drinking than fishing. Got out 1 day with 0 fish.

Headed to Hillman, MN (Long Lake) for the next 5 days. Should get some quality bass and panfish fishing in which I never get to do.

Some guys at work fried up some crappie at lunch time today. I don't usually like battered fried fish but what they made was pretty good. Uncle Bucks batter you get it at Bass Pro or Cabelas. Powder batter that you add beer to then coat the fish.
