I just ordered a Sage and am excited to get it in my hands and really start practicing hard. Hopefully to be able to take it in the woods this coming season! I have a spare WB laying around. Can I use that as a rest on the bow? Google isn't turning up much.

Can be done with the right mounting bracket. I've seen a few recurves over on the big river site that come with a WB rest. The WB they sell for recurve/longbow have a different mounting bracket than those sold for compound bows.
Not sure I would install any type rest that didn't allow me to sight down the arrow or see the arrow tip. But that depends on how you shoot I guess. I used a springy rest like this

I started out with a Samick Sage and using a Bear Traditional Hair Rest I was able to learn to shoot it very well. As far as a WB rest that would be a hard way to go being how you tune recurves with arrows flexing off the strike plate (side of the riser) which there is plenty of info and videos on how to set one up. When I started I bought a set of 30lb limbs to learn with, form and proper technique and also bought a set of hunting weight limbs for hunting. The Samick Sage is a great buy. Good Luck
Recurves, particularly wood bows, are not made to be shot with a whisker biscuit or any other kind of arrow rest. Or bow sights or string releases, etc. Neither are longbows. I cannot speak to ILF risers because IMHO they are not recurves but are a metallic riser for mounting any kind of limb and their designers may have other ideas. Personally I don't consider ILF bow risers with attached limbs traditional equipment. Wood recurves and longbows....traditional bows.....are made to be shot with the arrow lying on the shelf that is cut into the riser of the bow. They should come supplied with some kind of felt or leather arrow rest material for the shelf and the that portion of the riser that transitions into the shelf but not with any kind of brackets or clutches or any other thing for 'mounting' something that one might think he needs on the bow.. That's really all there is to it and if you will read Fred Asbell's book on Instinctive shooting you'll understand.
