I towed my boat up to Windsor, Missouri last weekend to do some bass fishing on Harry S. Truman reservoir with my son in law Josh.

I’d never been on that lake before but Josh had been fishing it.

We caught a lot of bass and had a good time but I think it might have irked him that I caught the big fish both days - a 4 1/2 pounder on Saturday and a 5 pounder on Sunday.

No really big ones, but it was still a blast.

My early June yearly fly in fishing trip to NW Ontario is now officially cancelled due to the border closure being extended. We may have the option to book a 2020 fall trip if things are “normal” by then.

If this fall doesn’t happen the Walleye and Pike are safe from me until June 2021.

You guys launch at Windsor crossing? My buddy has been going a lot, launching at bucksaw. When the summer crappie pattern starts up you should go again. Too much fun. I almost sank a john boat near Windsor crossing some 20 years ago! Good times

One other pretty cool thing about the trip above was that it was the maiden voyage of my new Garmin Echomap UHD 73sv.

This is the first chartplotter I've ever used and I was blown away by both the accurate mapping and the incredible detail of the down scan and side scan.
I’ll have to check. I have no idea where Windsor crossing is or what it is.
I just know we took Hwy Y south from Windsor, crossed Hwy C where it turned into PP, crossed a bridge and turned left into the parking lot.

On another note my youngest daughter recently sent me this pic. I’d always wondered what happened to it.

It’s WAY back in 1995. I was a young 32 and a fairly new E-6 in the Navy then.

This 9 1/2 pounder still stands as my personal best.

Just got back from Dale Hollow a bit ago. Thought I'd share some of the better ones we caught.

Had a great 3 day trip --- managed to boat some nice brown and green fish...
