Kids have been awesome showing up and working hard to get this done. Best Minnesotan dream hand down a nice lake place to the kids.
So some background. I moved into this house 5yrs ago or so. It had crazy nasty well water that softener could not help much. Since we moved in I have replaced every toilet, faucets, and washer valves. When we moved in I bought a new fridge. When it got delivered we (and I had to sign off on this) voided the warranty because it was hair too big. But after I signed and removed the base on the wall, the delivery man and I shoved enough until we got it in ... With out cracking the granite. That my friends is not what's great. Here we are 4-5 years later and I installed water to my home finally. We love it and everything is right in the world. Then my best friend decides tonight " we have never had ice and for 5k that thing is going to make ice" I smile and give her the yes dear. After dinner we make a valiant effort and the fridge doesn't even kinda move so as I told her we can't connect the water line. I give her my best told you eyes. She comes right back before I can say anything and says "probably should have anticipated our future needs" we both giggle and she begins candying walnuts. While I watch her I had a vivid memory, I look behind the fridge with my handy dandy phone light then run downstairs I move the ceiling open a valve and go upstairs and push the button...... Filtered fridge water. Best thing in life is doing something completely right just in case you every need it even if the odds are you won't.
My son finally got approved for plasmapheresis on June 1st. Basically your blood is cycled and cleaned like 7 times over a two week period. He got moved up to the top of the list so this is happening fast. We are hoping this finally puts him over the edge and that he recovers enough that he can get back to a somewhat normal life. It has been two years since he has been in school. We are excited and scared at the same time.
After a 2 year battle I finally get to pick up my kids to bring them to Michigan. I've been going back down to KS every 4-6 weeks to visit them while fighting with the ex wife over updated visitation. Turns out the ex can't get her head out of the sand and has gotten herself into some trouble. She finally realized that she would lose all rights if brought before a judge. I leave to get them tomorrow and will have them home before my daughters birthday on Monday. The first birthday I have been able to spend with her since the divorce. I am SO EFFING EXCITED i can barely contain myself.!!! Gonna give them a few days to settle in to their new rooms / surroundings before we all pile into the RV and head to the UP for a few days of hiking, fishing, mushroom hunting, and just being together. Taking off work at least the balance of the month to just hang with them. IT IS GONNA BE GREAT!!!
