I'd say that's awesome shooting. Time to kill.

Damm, why did I open this thread??!!!!

I started shooting a recurve about 8 years ago instinctively, but could not cut the cord from a compound.
Like some of you said, it made archery so much more enjoyable again. Every shot was rewarding. Dammit......

Hey you can still do both! I do and hunt with both. I just enjoy shooting the longbow so much more. I Really want to put some effort into getting my first deer with a longbow though

For everyone else dialing it in, I just listned to all the coaching moments on the Push podcast with Tom Clum and I am STACKING arrows (when im on) out to 25 yards. I've been listening to everything I can from Tom Clum and it is paying off big time. If anyone is on the fence GO FOR IT. Makes shooting the bow so much fun.

That is great Kevin. Any idea of what broadheads you will use? Trad hunting is fantastic. I can see myself going back one day. It's just so much fun.

Im going to be using the same ones I had with compound, Magnus stingers, I might switch up to a heavier head, still not set on an arrow set up though

Second deer I killed using a recurve I killed with a Magnus Stinger. Blew right through her. Good luck!

I ordered 55# limbs for the Fleetwood. I think I'm going to stick with this bow, had plans to buy a DAS and I still probably will but this bow has shooting well so we will see how it does with a higher draw weight.

I was thinking of doing the same thing ( mine is a smoky mountain hunter) I like the look and would love to play around with some higher end bows but I was on target at 35 today...kind of hard to justify the bow not doing its job.
I do want to eventually move up from the 45lb limbs

I got the bug earlier this year and bought a Samick Sage and some extra limbs. I shot recurves when I was young and have been thinking about getting back into it for a few years. I like shooting my recurve more than my compounds for sure.
I shoot off the shelf/no sights. I hope to hunt with it one day, I’m good to 15yds but not consistent at 20. There is just something about traditional archery, no gadgets.
