Beautiful dogs, I wish I had land for a dog like that. But, it would be a disservice to the dog to make it live in the burbs.

We had a pair of Great Pyrenees when I was in my teens that my dad had to lock up when we were castrating and branding. Man they would get crazy. I would have hated to be the coyote that came face to face with those two.

Yeah I had three sheep I didn't get dewormed the first time, caught one outside of the trailer yesterday and those two dogs were running in at me anxious to check and make sure I wasn't hurting that ewe. They acted like they wanted to charge in and pry between me and her, never growled or anything, more of a playful demeanor I guess. Like they were trying to politely say, "come on bro...not cool, let her go!" I got on to them a bit and they stayed back but there was an exciting few seconds there when I wasn't real damn sure what they were going to do.

When my smaller dog had severely broken one of her toenails I found out that my larger dog did not like me "hurting" his little sister. I took note of his protests and locked him in a bedroom before proceeding with clipping the nail.

I was not concerned with him doing anything to me but to the friend that was helping me. I had to hold the dog while she clipped. It is surprising how strong a 65 lb dog is. It took a lot for me to hold her.

The bank I go to has closed the lobby and went to drive through only. They are not handing out suckers for kids or milkbone treats for dogs. My dogs were confused. :(

Suckers for kids I understand, but dog treats? Are they not physically handling anything either?

When you’re supposed to be guarding the man cave and you get caught sleeping on the job.

I started grading my easement yesterday with a 7' landscape rake. The easement is 1/2 mile long and I made 8 round trips for about 8 miles. My dogs went with me up and down every time. My big dog, Jones has to lead the way in case of something dangerous. He thinks he's secret service. My other dog, Zeva follows just because?

Here they are...... it's difficult to drive straight when snapping pics.

Can we start bad dog stories here? About 2:00 this morning a thunderstorm blew thru, the dogs had to escape the mud room. Dogs came up to our bedroom, I was awake enough to tell them off so they stayed out of the bed. Then one started puking because the little craphead got into the hoof trimmings the ferrier left behind earlier in the day. Needless to say I have been awake since 2:30.

So Sunday afternoon the neighbors were doing there work around there pond across the road. They must have disturbed a muskrat burrow because I had 1 sitting on my front step. So in my wisdom I figure I’ll take the dog out to take care of it. Needles to say the 3lb muskrat took care of the 130lb dog. Dog proceeds to walk over to the muskrat to sniff it the muskrat jumps up bites him in the cheek. Dog has no idea what happens and muskrat runs off and dog left there bleeding. Then the look of defeat. After shooting the muskrat the dog thinks he’s a chew toy and starts carrying him and tossing him around the yard. Here is the look of defeat.
