Well its way to late for that already. Listen to what NewYork City residents have done. They ran! I mean news people saying their apartment building was totally EMPTY they started running 3 weeks ago and have been spreading it across the country.
I have always had to say I'm an upstate N.Y. resident to distance myself from NYC . Not any more great lakes resident.

So we must have just gotten a shipment of tests here in Sangamon County.

Had 7 patients pending yesterday, today that number jumped significantly to 265. I expect confirmed cases will jump as well.

That's the only expanation I can think of for the pending results number to remain so low and then spike, testing kits were not readily available.

Already quite a few restaurants hurting here pretty badly. I have talked to a few of the owners and not one of them is getting even half of their normal income off of take out orders. Extended to May 1 now will not be good.

I'm an "essential" employee but am still supposed to work from home as much as possible. Hopefully they get things figured out here soon within the U as planting season is only a couple weeks away. As long as nothing changes with the ag industry being essential and we can still get our seed, chemical, water, etc.,. I will not be affected by this. Luckily the wife still has 6 weeks of maternal leave left.

My sister works in the cattle industry and sent me a picture this morning of a piece of paper her boss wrote up saying how she is an essential employee and that she needs to keep it in her car. Are they really going to check these types of things?

Not actively I don't believe, that would be quite an undertaking. But I would imagine if a person were to get pulled over for other reasons and questioned as to what their destination was it would be handy. My company has provided similar letters to all essential employees.

We did for the employees, you get pulled over for what ever the paper will expedite you getting back on your way. My sister manages a feed/farm store she has a piece of paper too.

So you guys can get mad at me for saying this but I don't care right now.
I'm getting royally pizzed. NO MORE stimulus packages. Sorry but the Democrats are blatantly giddy about the next one before even passing this. Graham can be a double talking putts but he nailed this whole unemployment democratic scam . It's freaking human nature. He gave the perfect example of low paid RN's and the nursing/ home care aids. It's an example of just one area of crappy jobs from the start so why would they not milk the cow. So there are many of you now getting pay cuts. Many of us won't share in this package personally but in the end we will be the ones paying for it. Stop the pork! They can't, so stop the bail outs. The other pork is so discusting I can't even address it.
All that aside it's a way for Democrats to slow the recovery in the end . My God vote them out of Congress. If this is to happen again realize the Democrats WILL do this AGAIN,AND AGAIN. they expect a second round in the fall winter. Get them out in Nov.!
Cuomo double talks and whines...just today calling in RETIRED medical volunteers. Excuse me what did I miss? Are medical personal retiring in their 40s? He's asking the vulnerable to volunteer to be the next possible burdens on the health care system? Well I could just go on and on but lunch is done.

Hey, guess what you and Senator doorknob left out? It's called health insurance and cobra payments, it's also just for four months, it's going to be fine.

You don't think they will try to extend it? I guarantee you will hear them want to extend it to 6 months or even 12 after this passes. I'll even say Bernie will plead the case it should be made permanent, along with horseface and her "squad" members. Dispensaries are going to love the added income, here in IL anyone who is not working, even before the shutdowns, became eligible to get back on the government teat. I'm sorry, but if you could not find a job before this virus, you didn't want one.

Congressional Dems are the dirtiest of players, and admittedly I wish Republicans were the same way, they couldn't even vote for their biggest campaign slogan of ending Obamacare witha large majority.

You hardly ever see Democrat led legislatures allow Republicans to get in their agendas. Usually when that does happen, it's by court order.

November is going to be interesting.....

I am more concerned about bailing out the cruise ship industry, the ones who pay little to no federal taxes, who do not have headquarters in USA.

Whatever the "key piece" is for the next stimulus bill, it should be alone in the bill and anything else wanted should be filed as an amendment and each and every one of those amendments debated and voted up or down on the floor. Not behind closed doors discussing what should be in and agreeing only to have the wording rephrased in print and voting for it in the late night hours.

Transparency of government is a thing of the past.
