Hey guys wanting some advise from guys who use handheld releases. I am wanting to possibly switch over from a wrist strap style to handheld before this season. I am looking at the 4 finger hook style release. My question is how important is it for the head to be able to swivel. I am looking at a particular release that Bass Pro sales. I am sure it is made by Trufire for BP. The trufire version has a swiveling head and the BP version does not. I will be using a D loop on my string. I was just curious if the head not being able to swivel/pivot would put torque on the string and cause accuracy issues. Thanks in advance!
It's not a big deal at all. In fact, you'll find that most of the higher-end releases, including those shot by most pro archers, do not have a swiveling head. A variety of tests through the years have proven that twisting the string loop at full draw has no effect on accuracy.
