2 confirmed cases, one is a 71 year old female who is visiting from FL, who's family had recently traveled to Switzerland and have tested positive.
Wait until the nationwide lockdown. Have a feeling it is coming at some point. Hell, there's a bunch of people still bar hopping here for St. Patty's day. The museum didn't shut down until today so people coming in from everywhere. I'm not worried about the virus itself but agree that is has to be contained. Home and work for me, too many crazies out there anyway right now. Having two cases now confirmed is only going to double down the freakout. Seen an article where it was said a malaria vaccine was effective on it, maybe they can get a vaccine sooner.
I had to check on an overdose victim at the hospital last night. Lady starts coughing in the room next door and I hear the doctor say...covid related symptoms with bilateral lung fluid. I quickly finished by business and got the F out of there. F this
Deleted the Guard post, apparently they have drill this weekend. Odd coincidence, normally you see them out by the airport and not middle of town.
Stopped and had a beer ( or 4) at a remote little village in northern MN this eve. Lots of folks just yucking it up as usual. I'm not 100% positive where I stand on the issue?. Just know I'm pissed hearing about it non-stop on EVERY radio channel.
As with others, watching the video Germ shared changed my perspective a bit. Hearing it from someone not fear mongering, but that actually seeks and studies these events as a career to try to best prepare populaces for such. Hearing what he said, and when they started issuing alerts, and then seeing Tucker Carlson last night going all the way back to late January when he was sounding the alarm shows how much the hatred for Trump has overshadowed things. Myself included, but I'm on the other end of the Trump spectrum politically. I'm not freaked out or panicked, but I have been doing my due diligence to follow proper protocol by staying home when not needed. After seeing the stores yesterday, I'm pretty much committed to my freezers for the foreseeable future. I'll go to work, hope coworkers are doing the same preparedness, and come home. Rinse and repeat, it is what it is but we have to control this individually until a vaccine is created, it isn't going away anytime soon.
I am pretty sure it's been here awhile now. In February my son got sick for 7 days. It was a weird flu when he had it. He did not lose his appetite, but he had a fever, cough and at times shortness of breath. He was never really sick, but just not right. It took two more weeks before he was totally 100%. He would seem to get better only yo slip back to worse.
UFC held their event today, but seen on the sports ticker Nevada has banned combat sports for the foreseeable future. Looks like they may try forcing the UFC to cease operations withinnthe US. It's a bit surreal no sports network has live sports on and probably won't for several months.
