    But, you have to use backstrap, sounds good, but I would try a different cut.

    That was my first thought as well. I do love bacon, but I love some grilled backstrap even more!

    That is what I thought too, reminded me of when my son grilled up a back strap from the first deer he shot. He said it turned out great he grilled it in BBQ sauce.

    I remember when I first started grilling/bbqing food and I thought the proper way was to coat it all in BBQ sauce first, then burn the hell out of it on the grill. Took me a few weeks to realize that you can BBQ food without BBQ sauce. :lol:

    This does look really good, but I also would choose a different cut. No way I would use one of the best cuts for this. A top round London broil cut would be my choice.

    My “grass fed deer” Ha! More like my “Monsanto genetically engineered soybean and corn fed deer” :tu: This does look good but definitely would use a bottom or top round out of the hind for this.
