My season is over. Struck out in AZ. Only found one decent buck, a fair 3x3 in eight days of hunting. Problem was all three times I located him he was with 10 to 13 does. Too many eyes. Twice I was in 100 yards but couldnt put a shot togther.
I will post some pictures when i am off the plane

I think I’m going to plan on definitely doing an Arizona hunt next January. Got to buy an Arizona license each season to apply for the elk archery draw anyway (getting ready to apply for the second year in a row). It’s definitely a challenge to spot and stalk those guys. You do any small game hunting as well? The hunting public and Randy Newburg did a bunch of small game hunting as well.

I busted several conveys of quail in my travels. I am sure someone stomping around with a shot gun would have great time.
If you go late December early Jan is prime time for mule deer rut. After that most bucks disappear on the bigger flats and you cant locate them in the oak brush.
We went late because it was the only time all of us could make it together. The hunting was very slow compared to other hunts when we go earlier.

Yes there are we seen a couple. They tend to stay higher in the mounatins where there is more cover. The mule deer are all low on flats
