I know it's not bad, done it before. You definitely need to take a few does out.

Got drawn for my spring turkey tag, never hunted spring turkey before so I went ahead and put in another application for 2nd-5th season because it doesn't matter the critter, tag soup tastes the same

Gonna be fun I think, if all else fails hopefully morels will be up while out.

Man you have no idea the depth of madness you are descending into. Gonna try for bow or just shotgun for em? I'm still trying for my first bow Turkey!

Well I’m headed to Alabama tomorrow for a long weekend hunt. Hopefully they are moving good down there. Should be fun no matter what though. Gotta hunt while I can. Just learned last week that my wife and I got twins on the way! I’m really excited for that though! Praying for a healthy and smooth process through it all beings it twins for our first time!

I have noy decided yet. I have a remington 870 scope with a slug barrel that I have never swapped on the smooth bore. I'll probably either but another shotgun, mossberg 500 or another 870 to keep as a turkey gun or just blind up with a crossbow or bow.

I've never taken a turkey in the fall either, clipped a wing aiming for the trachea on one, but I'm being told spring is nothin like fall.

If I fail I end up with another gun and more shells or just wasted tags.

I think I can get one in range, this property is just magical for the hunter, but not sure "I" can seal the deal.

Gonna give it my best though, buddy at work is going to loan me decoys and calls he doesn't ever use.

Good luck buddy. It is some of the craziest hunting I've ever done. Check out Dave Owens on youtube. Dude is non stop and kills turkeys making it look easy.

Lol, I might need to watch someone that makes it look hard to lessen my expectations

In all reality, I like my chances for the land alone. I'm not a hunter, I'm a killer who has a hell of a place to hunt. No more, no less.

My uncle lived on this land his entire life and spent decades hunting and trapping on it. He never planted food plots or did anything more than clearing areas to promote travel, hell, I'm not even sure the property could adequately host food plots with its layout.

One deer of my 6 wall hangers was on a stand I hung, the others were on his permanent for probably 20+ year stand sites. The one stand I hung I got luck with after sitting his stand and seeing where they were skirting by.

Congrats! My wife and I have two 8-year-old boys, although one is adopted, so we skipped the baby years with twins. Good luck with that! Our youngest is 2, and that is exhausting enough. I can not imagine dealing with twins that young.
