I still have next weekend, but the contest will be over. I'm just shooting the Muzzys until I can play with the XXX during the offseason.
No point in bitchen boys... We got got. At least we were close. It was a pleasure knowing you all and getting to share the last 2 years together. Please PM me whenever.
I would enjoy teaming up with anyone of you in the future. Best of luck to you all. You guys hunt hard and I like that. No offense hopefully not next year though
Not this year, too late to change the rules in that regards, needs to be done in the offseason. That being said, most rule changes are usually voted on by team captains. What I would suggest is contact @Justin and @Brad Kaufmann and submit your proposal to see what they think. I think I would actually vote in favor of it. I mean why punish a team that still has hunters legally in the field? Those who shoot deer before the teams are picked are still allowed to enter them once the contest starts. Why allow deer to be entered shot before the contest starts? Either have solid start end dates to which deer must be taken between or even the odds and allow deer killed in the same season the contest runs to be counted.
so if airenlow shoots a booner this weekend he can legally save the score and apply it next season since the contest is over? i would say yes!
I would agree with this statement. You should have the opportunity to enter every deer you shoot. So since the contest ends Friday I would say any deer shot after that would go on next contest! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hopefully that was in jest I wouldn't be in favor of that Gotta have limits somewhere. Pretty soon people will be wanting to enter a late season shed buck and toss in some previously found sheds for the score.
i accept the outcome of this season and my hats off to team 13 they did a killer job. we all played within the rules we were given and i've just noticed some of the gray areas that might need addressed in the off season. the previous statement was just backing up your comment that we need a start date as well. i also am not in favor of using scores from deer that were taken before the contest teams are picked. but to be technical, according to current rules as soon as this season closes the next contest begins without a start date listed in the rules each year.
Start is implied, but I get your point. Seems most of the suggestions always come at contest end, understandable. I like these types of discussions a hell of a lot better than score discrepancies. You can please some but you will never please everybody.
A quick Google search shows archery whitetail hunting as late as Feb 28. That would make for a really slow end to the contest. So, I'm in favor of start and end dates also.
Ya the contest gets pretty slow this late in the game. They try to get most of the seasons covered but with how much difference there are between states it makes it together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks for the fight, it was fun to banter back and forth with all of you. A bunch of great hunters, you are!!!!! BB may you find peace, God bless. Spend as much time as you can even if it it's hard to find time, in the long run it will worth it. I'm sure you know this. Thanks guys for the battle
