    Desperate for meat, I said I would shoot any deer but a button buck. So just had a spike walk by at 20 yards out of swamp. Stopped him and shot. Hit high above shoulder and arrow stopped at the nock. Not sure about shot, didn't see him fall. I hope I didn't hit above the spine.

    Another spike just stood up in marsh and walked past at 20 yards again. That was the deer I saw while I was setting up.

    No dice on the deer. It ended up walking by Adam and he said it didn't even looked hit. The lighted nock got stuck in the hole in its back, so now there is a deer walking around with a red light on its back. I went to were Adam saw it cross the marsh, we picked up it tracks and didn't find a single drop of blood. I'm confident he will live to see another day. Just another day of my horrible season!

    Well I saw the Buck that I saw yesterday. Got a good look at him from 80yds away. Huge bodied buck, wide but short tined 8pt, antlers were chalky white. Wish I had more time to hunt him but have to go home tomorrow morning. Was a good 4 day stint. Saw a total of 5 today from the ground, nothing I could shoot at.

    That's probably it for my season. Saw alot of deer, had a great time. Was great having all of you in the stand with me. September cant get here soon enough!!!
