I know Scentlok says only mud or blood, but I will post this question for consensus. Do you wash your Scentlok at seasons end, or just throw in dryer to re-activate and store them? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I will give it a wash at the end of the season and store it in my bins. Really no reason to over wash them that’s not what they are designed for. If you wear it for turkey season they don’t smell so need to wash it then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have always washed mine be before putting them away for the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't wash mine until next year. What's the point? You're going to wash it again before you wear it anyways.
Would love to see the sources of this proof. Sent from my SM-G960U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
There is no way an article of clothing can cover up our human scent. A deer nose is more advanced than a drug sniffing dogs, were not beating that with a pair of pants and jacket. Anything it touches will leave trace scents. Can it help your mental game? Of course. Will it stop your human scent from spreading downwind? Absolutely not. Nothing will. If I remember right they have 9x the amount of scent receptors in their noses then the worlds best hound
If the cartels haven’t found a way to conceal drugs from dogs Even wrapping them in all the crap they do and putting them in their gas tanks I highly doubt we’ll fool a whitetail with a certain shirt and pants on
I don’t buy it because I feel it’s fooling a deers nose. It’s nice camo that doesn’t attract burrs and can be had for a very fair price when bought at the right time. The places I go to get in stand are pretty hard on clothing. I don’t feel as bad crawling through a rocky, muddy, wet, thorny creek bed or drainage ditch in these as I would in a suit that costs as much as a bow. If it works as advertised great, if not, I’m not gonna lose sleep about it. We all know the wind and thermals trump all anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
