Was able to slip out yesterday afternoon for the last 2 hrs. Sat on the ground next to a secluded wheat field at a place I have very little intel on. Had 4 come out at last light about 200 yds away, no horns though. I’m going to sneak off early from work this afternoon and try to get it done 1 last time. Going to hunt a different part of the property where another big wheat field borders thick wooded bedding. I’ll be on the ground again, so it’s going to be tough but if we don’t win this thing, I’m going down swinging!
Neighbor shot this across the road from where I hunt day after Christmas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My dad is currently in the hospice home near us. They upped his pain medication to keep him more comfortable at this point. Tomorrow is my dads 52nd birthday as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you. This is truly testing me. My dad is so strong, his faith is incredible, and he is completely at peace right now. Never thought I would be doing this at 24 when I just thought I was getting life figured out. I’m thankful to work at a school that I grew up in and in a tight community. I’m so fortunate to have great co workers who are taking care of lesson planning and writing IEPs. Thank you to all of you guys as well for the prayers and well wishes. I’m glad to have gotten to know many of you on the forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dang it Benny... I’m so sorry you are having to go through this right now. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family. It’s a wonderful blessing that you have such a great support system to help you get through these tough times.
Found the buck I shot opening day if someone wants to tag it in... Just kidding in case that wasn't clear..
We tracked for 300 yards. Just to recap there were some bubbles in the blood. It was 90 degrees out so I elected to track after an hour. After the 300 yard mark we lost all blood. Must have bumped him up at some point and didnt realize it. Found him another 300 yards from where the the blood stopped.
