Okie hows this weather coming in going to effect you? You still going out Mid 60 here and @ 2” of rain.
come on okie keep digging! this team is going to show everyone that to be the champions everyone on your team has to hunt til the end. and that is what we are doing! plus the longer you hunt the shorter the off season is.
I’ll be out Saturday & Sunday afternoon for sure. Rain moves in tomorrow morning, temps dropping overnight Friday night into Saturday morning. They’re calling for several inches of snow Saturday and temps in the 20’s & low 30’s. We don’t get the opportunity to hunt with snow on the ground in Oklahoma very often, combine that with the big temp drop, I’m fired up for this weekend. Side note, I scouted out a different property that I haven’t hunted all season and put a cam out the other day over a corn pile(don’t hate, it’s legal) This is the same place where I shot my buck late last season. It typically doesn’t hold the quality or quantity of trophy bucks like the place I’ve been focused on all season, but it’s my backup plan after Saturday depending on what shows up on my trail cam.
awesome! doesn't hurt to change things up. i'm not sure about OK deer but PA deer feed like a mother when it's snowing hard. it is important to hunt during the snow storm and then the first sunny day after the snow has stopped.
Last year you invited me out to shot a doe late season or was the year before, and now your going to put me in a gar hole. Just because we are competing for the belt (BHOD CONTEST) Huh some ppls kids. I guess I will have to go kill the 70 in buck I've been seeing this late season. That I've passed on 2 occasions this late season
heading out to the blind. chris, what tags do you still have left? i'm hunting a spot in akeley that i found tonight. giant rubs and lots of big tracks if you still have a buck tag. this is in 2f. i abandoned all of my 1b spots.
You the man TC!! MVP Just read LFTS... waiting to see which one shot it. Your boy shot the big one didn’t he
shot a doe at last light. no blood on arrow only fat. but blood was spraying everywhere. i thought i saw some bubbles but was hard to tell. tracked it easy in the snow then lost it after it got out of the snow. heading in tomorrow to do a search. i'm not real confident i'll find her. update you tomorrow.
My boy is only 8 and I refuse to let him hunt until he is 12. He's going along just sucking it all in. I'm hoping he will be a seasoned veteran by the time he can pull the trigger. He was going nuts when I shot that doe tonight. Just wish we would've found her tonight.
no luck. i did find hair at impact that was belly hair. guessing just below heart area. heading back out tonight if the funeral gets done in time.
It’s GO time boys! 30 degrees, slight NW breeze in my face & dead calm. Feels like a good night to kill...
i saw 4 bucks and three does. shooter buck was at 30yds. does came in from behind me and didn't like the blind and didn't offer a shot. going in and setting up a second blind tomorrow.
