So today is the first in 2wks. I've felt semi healthy. Though throat is still tore up. It was pretty cold and very windy when I took a mile + hike around the hill. Got home and it hit, a comfort food craze. So I went to town. French onion soup , venison chilli, and a top round 30 min roast. Yep rare. Homemade bread sticks. Have to say house smells great.
Hubby was very happy ,well except for roast he won't eat beef any more. Little rough on throat but a small cup of each and roast is for sandwiches.
Cravings done...what is your go to comfy food?

I love to make a good roast with a head of quartered cabbage potatoes and carrots in a roaster with rolls and salad.

I actually made it tonight. It was boiled polish venison sausage cut into slices and perogies with a garlic butter sauce. Cooked separate and then everyone in the pan with onions and peppers and topped with Mozz.

Aahhh. I have been struggling with that mac and cheese for two months... I have been holding out pretty well ...so far
Going with venison stroganoff tonight with lots and lots of mushrooms. I have some low fat sour cream to use up.

Although I really like a meat dish, a real comfort food for me is spaghetti. Especially if it is made with italian sausage.

Damn all this food talk, I went to noodles and company and picked up the mac and cheese with meatballs, that was a 1000 calorie lunch.
