Put on the work calendar the other day for December 26th until January 6th for my Iowa muzzleloader hunt at the end of the year
There are a lot of hunters where I work I always put in for mine in January lol Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Smart planning! I work in ballistics lab of a bullet company. Trying to get days off during the regular hunting seasons is really tough. We can't even ask for those days off until after the draws are done. Folks that draw limited entry, premium and once in a lifetime tags get first dibs. Then it's kind of a free-for-all for general season time off. On the upside... we generally get the 25th through the first few days of January off due to plant shutdown. Maybe I need to start putting in for the Iowa muzzy season? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
I'm glad I'm retired! Yes, I know the dilemma for holidays, fishing and hunting seasons. I worked for a company that was open the day after Thanksgiving! Never could understand why. In three years, we never had one customer visit or call. We took turns taking a day of vacation for the Thursday to make long weekend.
I just give everybody the middle finger and bug out.. But really, I've already let my employer know that I'm gone for two weeks on September, 9 days in October and the week of Thanksgiving in November. Nothing wrong with being a man with a plan!
Slacking, I put mine in on the 2ndd. First day back to work and the system at work won't let you request anything outside the current year. Also put in for Halloween weekend and every weekend in November. Weekend equals Fri-Sun.
Chr Christine, you have any more cool trail cam pics? Those pics with the mountain lions and elk were awesome.
This is the kind of place I want to work! That limit entry and once in a lifetime tags are not only understood but given priority to time off.
