Yes, and the end result is seldom a good one. This pic is from 2 weeks AFTER I hit him. You can just make out a stain/mark from where I hit his shoulder. I'm just really happy I know he survived. It removes all of the wondering! They are really tough animals.

Followed a couple trails and still no luck on blood. My heart jumped a little when I saw white under a cedar. Was a pipe that I have no idea why is out here. Still looking by just following tracks and it is really thick in here.

Yeah they are extraordinarily tough and I can only hope for finding him dead or seeing him live through it. He still has the broadhead in him though. Idk.

After exhausting all other options (tracks, grid), it may be worth taking a meandering path toward nearest water. I.e. Plot the straight line, but walk a zig zag crossing back and forth over the 'line'.

    Good luck!

I’d hire a dog if legal if I was you. They can smell what you can’t see. If you didn’t bump him he may be there. If dog isn’t option wait for the crows

Still no dice. Never did find blood not even in tracks and nothing near the creek. Sitting on my butt in the middle of the woods taking a breather and contemplating what's next. Might have a buddy come with his dog after he's off work. Probably gonna double back and grab some grub.two and a half hours and 2 miles covered. Smh

Ok guys, I'm up for what is probably my last sit of the season. It ends here Sunday and I have to work all weekend. It's been a great season and I thank you all for letting me follow along with your seasons. I've said it once and ill say it again, there's no better thread on BH.COM than the LFTS section. Congrats to everyone who scored this season! And to everyone that has season left, stay after it!!

    Blessings..........Pastorjim

I'm up ready to go sitting by standing corn. Really windy so I'll be surprised to see something.

Since I was putting in my rutcation, went ahead and took off closing weekend. So looks like I will have 5 chances to fill a tag or two. Next 2 Sundays and 3 days closing weekend.
