This weekend was a total bust for me guys. Saw 1 freaking little spike in 3 hunts. This has easily been my worst season since I got back into bow hunting in 2014. The combination of only being able to hunt weekends and the property not having any major food source this season has made it tough. Most of my stands are set up to hunt off of the crop fields but the farmer plowed up the alfalfa in late September and planted winter wheat that never came up. Total game changer. I feel like I’ve been beating my head against the wall all season, but I’m not quitting just yet. I’ve got a tree that I’m going to try to get a stand in this week thats on the outside border of one of several bedding areas but is the closest to the neighbors wheat field and the lease road going into the place. Might as well go for broke and get in their bedroom, got nothing to lose...
Keep at it! Been one of the worst seasons for me as well but I’m trying to make a move to change how I’m attacking the deer. Keep at it buddy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
