Hey guys, I'm hoping for a big buck. We've seen lots of bucks except they've all been young. Definitely going to shoot a doe if the opportunity is there. We have 3 weeks left. Swapped cards at home before I left. We'll see who's hanging around the farm.

Merry Christmas guys! Here's hoping you're all having a great day today. Like I said in the LFTS thread, I'll be headed out this afternoon on my home spot to do a test run with the Ozonics Orion my wife got me as a Christmas gift. I've heard a lot of hunters say that they thought it was a total gimmick, but I know some hunters personally who think it's the greatest thing ever for deer hunting. I'm looking forward to trying it out. I've hunted more this year than I've ever hunted before and I've been living the retired dream. I said earlier this year that my goal was 15 deer this year and while I was kind of joking about that, the body count is 11 right now. I've given three away to folks that needed them, seven are in my freezer and the last one I brought home Saturday is still aging in the fridge. We'll process it tomorrow. Missouri has an "alternative weapons" season that opens Saturday and I'd love to take a deer with my pistol, a Sig Sauer P220 10mm full size hunter in Kryptek camo. It's plenty of gun but I'll have to get them in to about 25 yards to be accurate with the iron sights on it. I'd love to put a red dot sight on it but I'd have to have the slide milled and I'm not willing to do that. If that doesn't pan out I still have the TC Encore. After that I'll start making trips to our club cabin in Arkansas to start pitting myself against those educated Wattensaw deer. I wish I could contributed more points to the team, but I took care of that early in the season. Hey Guys I hope you had a good Christmas. I had a light day at work and snuck out for a min to do some reconnaissance. Good news the deer seem to be unfazed by my missed shot. The doe and several bucks including the one I missed are still on the same evening feeding program. If the wind and weather are good I will be back out there this weekend. Stay after it! Good luck!

I hear ya. I had a perfect wind tonight. The deer aren’t stupid they changed their program up just enough to stay out of range. Just as well only one dinky buck in the group anyway. Stay after it, out persistence will be rewarded.
