I'm curious if any of you think this is the same deer. My trail camera footage is from mid August and he was taken last week about 15 miles from my camera. They look a lot alike but I don't know how far deer will travel. I watched him on my trail camera up till October when it stopped working. The 11 point in the background was taken last week also but on my property by a friend. I'm hoping these are 2 different bucks but as I said they look an awful lot alike. Thanks all for any insight.
Can't tell as I'm far from an expert on rack nomenclature and evaluation. I do admire your green ATV.
I was thinking it might be the camera angle making the Browtine look a little different. Hopefully I get him on camera again. Last year the bucks dissappeared in November and started showing back up in February, they sure can hide from hunters.
If those pictures are from the same season, it is 100% different deer. Look at the G2's. The dead buck in the tractor has a G2 ( his right side) about 4-6 inches longer than his brow tine on that same side. Now compare to your night photo and you'll see that the same G2 is about equal length as his brow tine on that same side.
I thought the same thing about the differences, if he had been shot in another part of the state or a different state entirely I would not have thought twice about it , but only 15 miles made me seriously wonder.
Agree, different deer. Especially the left G1. On your cam pic it curves the opposite way as the dead deer in the tractor bucket.
