Buddy I got rear suplexed in wrestling. I felt my ribs pop in half and then kept going for another 30 seconds then the pain set in bad. Walked out to my truck and I couldn't even get my left leg up into the truck bc my left ribs were popped. Stopped on the way home and put a huge bag of ice on my ribs the entire ride home. One of the only times in my life where I went to the doctors for that type of injury and requested pain meds. It hurt like living hell and I understand your pain man. To this day I still have a big calcified spot on my upper ribs from that injury. Took me a good month before it started feeling better.

Well gents after 12 seasons with my Mathews Switchback I finally bit the bullet and bought myself the new VXR. I shot both the 28 and 31 just out of curiosity, ended up getting the 31.5. As for hunting updates last weekend was another shotgun season so this weekend after I take the dog to the vet Saturday morning I'll check cards and see what the scoop is for activity. I don't expect much and finding a main food source on public land is tough right now. Either way I'll be at it again after I take care of the pup first. Might catch the secondary rut who knows!!

Plan for me this coming weekend is possibly getting back at our one property where I shot my deer this year off of as the owner is done hunting....we planted a ton of food this year compared to last so fingers crossed late season could be good. Tomorrow afternoon the wind is right for over there and Saturday I may be back chasing bucks at my place with a bow due to wind shift.

Weather tomorrow is going to be miserable but you can't shoot them from your recliner. I plan on all day sits on Saturday & Sunday in SE Ohio. I hope the cards I pull tonight shows some signs of life. Good Luck to those still hunting this weekend.

We got a rut update cause a hot doe just went into estrous 2 days ago. Multiple bucks came through and the videos are good cause of all the grunting that took place. Gnarly never showed up again :(, but this one is in the area! 20191214_081416.jpg 20191214_080510.jpg

I went out this afternoon set up shop between food and bedding. Hour goes by and I had a doe and a fawn coming in and they kept looking back so I got all fired up! Waiting patiently they walk by at 20 yds and still kept looking back. Long story short nothing ever came out of the thicket they did. I looked long and hard just in case he was tucked back in it but I didn't see a thing. Never thought a doe and fawn could get the heart racing like it did but I was pumped! Maybe tomorrow morning before the snow comes I can get it done.

Didn’t see a deer on stand yesterday. I’ve seen 1 this morning and it was a buck that had already dropped it’s antlers. Another all day set and the snow’s coming tonight. Hopefully that makes them feed this afternoon.

This weekend did not produce anything I was interested in harvesting. Headed back in 2 weeks. I'm not giving up yet. PA Archery season comes back in on 12/26.

Think I'm going to get the smoke pole out this weekend and try to take a doe for my buddy. Due to work he has not been able to hunt much this year and needs the meat.

Keep hanging in there guys.. Big bucks are still out there. I shot this dude on Dec 23/2017 at noon.

I won’t be making it out anymore this year guys. My ribs are still not in a good place to be climbing trees. Good luck to anyone who is getting out yet.
