Very cool Joe. Nothing to be ashamed of shooting them on the water. Nothing unethical or illegal about it.
I'll admit my complete ignorance to that conversation in the duck hunting community. My buddy who took me out talked to me about it a little and with the shotgun I didn't shoot at any on the water. I looked it up and they make broadheads designed for bird hunting. I didn't have enough time to purchase any of those so I just used my muzzy trocars that I used for deer hunting. They are a pretty small diameter head so I thought it would work ok for the ducks and It did. Thanks for watching the video and for the feedback.
No problem. The "duck hunting community" doesn't even uniformly agree on the only wing shooting deal. It's thought of as being more sporting ... much like never deer hunting over bait or in drives. One method over the other is no more ethical than the next. It's personal preference. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
One of our hunting education videos has a kid addressing a guy saying, "But it doesn't seem fair." Practice and shoot them on the wing with flu flu arrows.
