    Congrat guys
I just got in beautiful day.they were shooting it up behind house. I took a slow walk back to house rubs opened up all over tracks from last night. Get to road and they were apparently just out checking my mail! Fresh tracks all around the mailbox in road. So they've figured out road hunting is illegal....lol
Theres another shot behind house. I'm talking 1/2 mile or so away. Apparently thats where a lot of them have gone...hhhmmm
BTW...saw not a thing, not even a squirrel or bird. In fact didn't even hear a crow , now thats strange.

    Congratulations FP and LD.

I went out this morning. Saw does and small buck. Checked cameras...nothing big - dang.

Headed to doe spot tonight. It's muzzle loader season. Not killing is kilkin me.

    Good luck to ya.

    Congratulations Carter! That's awesome!

It happened while I was driving to Kentucky so it took a while to reply.

I'll be on stand by 1:00 in my favorite patch of woods here: The T woods.

The wind is wrong for the spot I wanted to be in but I can move a mere 100 yards and still have a chance at a buck.

Agreed. I think a bit of moisture gets into the action, esp near the firing pin. Dawn temp dropped below freezing.

Still out, moved about a mile and hoping for some movement along a ridge. Got a nice line of sight, just need an opportunity to walk by.

I'll be back in the hunt later.

I'm back in Kentucky, all set up and ready to sit the rest of the day.

I'll be holding out for a buck the first couple of days. There are freshly worked scrapes here so I'm hopeful.

The wind is out of the east which is the worst possible direction for where I wanted to be so I'm sitting 170 yards south which should work depending on which way they go when they exit the woods.

    Game on.

I really love hunting this spot. It's not a matter of "if" you're going to see deer. It's just a matter of "when".

I may not see anything I want to shoot and even if I do I may not get a shot, but I will see deer.

Makes it easier to stay alert.
