I haven’t made it out deer hunting in a few days now but I’m going this evening. Hopefully they’ll move good.

Hunted this morning, had 4 small bucks and 5 doe come through. 2 of the bucks were chasing does. In case you were wondering, if you put a Halo D600X range finder in the washer, it will not work anymore. Christmas is coming. Good luck everyone

Finally got some time to get my bow fixed back up after the rest moved. I'm out this evening with it for the first time this season.

Work has been really screwing with bow hunting this year for me.

At least next year I'll have the option of using some vacation time

Are the acorns still dropping where y’all live? It’s crazy, these deer don’t even have to move to eat. This has to be the best acorn crop I’ve ever seen.

There are a few trees on the property. I think they have all dropped and been eaten. Every time I go in, I go by 2 of the trees and it doesn't even look like they are looking for acorns under the leaves. Wish they were still dropping.

I sat yesterday from 7am till 11. Had one 2.5yr old come by. I think I need to move about 40-50 yards deeper into back of property. Last 2 sits saw 4 bucks and 5 doe walk past the same tree that drops off into a ravine that goes to the neighboring property. I am trying not to get too close to his property line so it doesn't look like I am hunting over his property. The tree I'm talking about is probably 10 yards inside the corner of my friends property line.

Yes, acorns everywhere here. Really good crop. I agree, they don't have to travel far to eat.

Anyone planning to go out over the long holiday weekend? (Provided you get a long holiday weekend, that is.)

How has everybody been? Anyone been seeing anything? Between working and duck hunting, I haven’t been on much. I’ll be out there this weekend trying to put a shooter on the ground. Once second season of duck starts that’ll be where my attention turns too. Just wanted to check in with y’all!

Sunday starts my archery hunt I won from a drawing at a nearby state park. I have 2 weeks to hunt it. So I will be out all day Sunday, tuesday and Friday after work.

Headed back out this weekend. From November 11-13 I had multiple bucks cruising during daylight on trail cam, afterwards mostly nocturnal activity. This weekend will mark about 30 days after that, so hoping to get a buck moving through.

Good luck bud! A week from today, I’ll be on vacation so I plan on doing a lot of sitting in the blind.

Got us a buck worth 50 points.

I don't have anyone around to take the proper pictures to post in the score thread yet but will get it done tomorrow. IMG_20191214_165347.jpeg
