IL 2nd gun season

    I don’t have my finger on the pulse like many of you so I’m wondering if next gun season might have 2nd rut activity.
    Should rattling horns and a doe bleat be in my plan for these days in central IL?

    Don't expect too much from the "2nd rut" unless your buck/ doe ratio is really outta whack.
    Rattling I'd leave alone.

    I personally do not have any luck when it comes to rattling and or calls. I have more luck with scents.

    Couple weeks until 2nd rut around here. I always figure 28 days.
