    Late season hunting. Day after day. Man there is nothing out here...over and over then you hear a twig snap and look left. Keep at it boys!

    Heading out to same spot I shot my little spike in last Saturday. Been told this is a good late season spot. I am looking for headgear only today! Good luck anyone heading out!

    That was a bust! No sightings? The deer seemed to be on their feet last night so maybe the movement is better in the afternoon? If so, it won’t happen for me today, maybe later in week!

    I won't know until Thursday whether I'll be out this seekend or not.

    Have a 10 day vacation coming up week of Christmas so should be out a few times.

    Been several years but latest I have ever seen a shooter is December 20th way back in 2010. Sat the wrong stand and he came out in front of the stand I killed from this year, came in toabout 12yds and worked a scrape. Problem was an island of trees between us. I thought for sure it was going to happen, but it didn't.

    I'm out and all set up on my home place.

    Even though I have no daytime pics in front of the camera on this side that doesn't mean they aren't traveling where I am.

    I checked my camera across the road when I got home yesterday and there wasn't a single pic over the past week until the night before I got home.

    My neighbor had called me before and said he caught another neighbor's kid scouting for a place to hunt on our properties. He ran him off and told him to stay off our land.

    This past weekend was youth gun season here in Missouri. My neighbor texted me Sunday and said he heard a shot that was really close and wanted to know if I had anyone youth hunting. I said no, of course.

    There's NO way that camera had zero activity for a week, especially since the activity magically picked up the night of the last day of youth season.

    I guess I should feel fortunate that they only erased the evidence that they were there instead of stealing the camera.

    Three shots on the backside of the property. A minute later 10 deer head across field across street and onto neighbors property. Hope they kill some of the doe...
    That might have been the end of my hunt. We’ll see what happens.

    I'm really itching to get out! I may work half day tomorrow and sneak out for the evening. Deer meat is getting scary low, and I need to stock up!

    I was out. Quite a few tracks in the snow but that’s all I seen. Neighbor told me to hunt his property tomorrow. I used to hunt it frequently before he moved in. I hunts it occasionally so I think that’s where I’ll be in the morning.
