    Yeah, I've often wondered how to get the deer to stay put while you climb down and measure them.

    It’s becoming a grind. Finishing my coffee and heading out. Big storm moving tomorrow. It’s 15 degrees out with the wind if I make it past 10am I’ll be impressed with myself. Good luck foodplot19 and anyone else making it out this morning.

    I'm settled in. Crap show this AM, halfway into my walk something pressed into the panic button on my key fob. Alarm starts blaring, wouldn't bother me too much except public parking spot right across road from a house and I saw their bedroom light come on so I'm sure it made them real happy. Key fob on my fanny pack; Packing my climber in on my back with fanny pack strapped to that. Had to completely gear down to get to key fob. Probably going for a full minute.

    This season has kicked my butt. Gotta get better tho right?

    I've been in since 0545. Had two deer on me within 10min of getting in the stand. Think they were small , but very hard to make out in the dark. They were close though. This spot looks good. I'm at the intersection of two trails. Rubs near by. Scrapes on the hill above me. Pretty thick. With some lane trimming it should be an excellent set.

    Out one more time.

    28 degrees
    North wind ( for now) 4 mph
    Light snow (for now)

    Fresh tracks minutes old at the base of the stand when i got in at 545.

    Hope they keep moving early. We have a storm moving in that is supposed to bring us 11 inches of snow on top of the 2 inches of rain we had 3 days ago. Gonna b a mess.

    Will worry about that when the hunt is over.

    All settled in the blind. Really wet outside so made for a pretty quiet entrance. Wind is a lot more SSW than I expected, supposed to be W wind that is going to pick up around 0900. Hopefully I can catch a shooter that’s in between girlfriends cruising thru. 30 min. until legal light.
