Dad shot a doe fawn last night and I’m out this morning with my uncle who’s about 150 yards to the south west of me in the timber let’s see how this goes. The wind is ideal for me but not for his stand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm in the doe blind, but I'm not sure why. We have meat now, so I should be buck only at this point.
You should just give up now! No sense in wasting your time and energy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ok boys, with the holiday this week. Who can get us some points? Collin is posting his buck tomorrow. Andy are you going out? Troy are going to smash us a doe? Capt is it time for a Buck Camo can you get time to carbon a flat top? TC you got a kill in yea?
I can’t catch a break this season every chance I get to hunt I got property owners next door running their dogs! Kids hunting squirrels with BB guns and land being cleared for new houses it’s been one of the most frustrating seasons here for me but I’ll know late season the herds hold up in my little pocket moving from bed to food so hopefully I can get it done on a late season buck!! I’ll be out possibly Wednesday morning, possibly thanksgiving morning, and Sunday. Basketball season is in full swing and I’m officiating all week at random times and my school is in the 3A state championship on Friday so I’ll be there watching that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I probably won’t be able to hunt again until this weekend. Possibly Friday evening depending on when the in-laws are coming in from Missouri. Our season runs thru the second week of January and I’ll stay after it until that final weekend if necessary. Getting a doe is not going to be an issue but I’ve still got a couple weeks of being focused on killing a mature buck...so we’ll see. Only being able to hunt weekends really makes it difficult. I’ve already decided that next year I’m going to take off the entire week before Thanksgiving.
Finally got my buck posted to the score card. Terrible solo field pictures and a quality 1.5 year old. Thats my style! He ate well.
Troy, that was a hell of a hunt! Even better you shot one of Todd’s target bucks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Troy, great hunt. That sure did escalate quickly when you rattled. I know there was joking about shooting all of.Todd's bucks but that property looks like it should be good for the foreseeable future. Looks like some great genetics on that farm!
