Sucks about the 10. But you got a solid buck there.
That looks like a great opening weekend.

I didn't have any luck this past weekend in SE Ohio. I only seen does and fawns. Headed back out this weekend.

He survived gun season and messed up twice coming in daylight hours! Fingers crossed he does it again! 20191127_191247.jpg 20191127_191031.jpg

Keep at it 16! Forget all the "rules" of hunting and when bucks will be active. Keep hammering.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’m thankful for having some great team members this year!

Currently on my way to ired lake to chase walleyes for 3 days. Nothing better than early ice fishing on this lake.

I’m on stand in SE Ohio for an all day sit. Beautiful morning so far even though I haven’t seen anything yet.

Well after further review he was tending a doe for 2 days. I had 3 videos of daylight photos just didn't see him with her in the one cause he popped in the last 2 seconds. So all in all homeboy moved on to the next one cause I haven't seen him since I've been back. Last sighting was the 26th at 4pm. But one thing I did realize is that doe from last year he was with I shot my 9 pointer in the creek. She was with him the 22nd last November and with this buck the 25th this season. So next year I'll plan on her again to do the same since she lives around the property year round. Be out again tomorrow I got rainy weather so I'm gonna get extremely close to the breeding grounds and hope for the best! Big risk big rewards if it plays out the way I want it!

Rain is moving in here as well. I plan on pushing in real close tomorrow afternoon. Boom or bust!

For some crazy reason I always see some of my biggest deer in the nastiest of weather between high winds or straight rain all day. Even that nasty cold front system that I hunted in this year with the freezing rain I had that booner at 15yds. Still haunts me how that went down!

I ended up seeing does, fawns and a 2.5 year old 8 point yesterday. So far today a spike, does and fawns.

Well I was all set up outside a bedroom and the last hour and a half I had 4 squirrel hunters come through and just blast the entire woods. So I waited patiently figured they'd move on since I was on public land. Well they go about 100yds down and come right back blasting away. So hunt was shot after that, ain't no way I had a deer coming out of that thicket. I gave it a good run but couldn't seal the deal. I'll be out a few more rounds before the season ends! Might sneak out in the morning but it's not looking like it
