Yup, 4 or so teams are lining themselves up for the final half of the season. Could go any number of directions.

I remember one year a team put up like 1,000 in one stinking week...it was unreal. So we shall see what happens, part of the fun for sure man!

 

Yup we are all fight. Its guna be a good fight this year.

 

Definitely makes it alot more fun when you got this many close and your in the mix.

 

Ill be good for my doe just think itll be december.

 

This team has been pretty active and that only has been refreshing, the fact we seem to be deer slayers has been just incredible!

 

Same goes for me, hopefully x2 foregoing the black powder and keeping them bow in hand

 

This is a team of just some straight killers, we definitely need a repeat season together. You can definitely count me in for another 50 pts that's guarunteed! Been an honor men thus far, keep hitting pump stations

I will kill another deer before the year is over. Not sure if it will be a buck, but I will kill another one. I’m trying my best to get out when I can. My company is shut down 12/23 - 1/6. I will have 9 full days to end the year to seal the deal on one.

Corn is gonezo. Went out yesterday evening and saw 2 fat fawns on the entire field (north and south end). Will be out tomorrow again since I didn’t end up going ice fishing this weekend.

I want to dislike this because i feel for you.

 

So here is my situation. Work today through Wednesday 6 am to 6pm. No hunting. Thursday morning we leave to go see my family in Nebraska. Come back sunday work mon and tues. Believe shotgun starts either that Wednesday or Thursday. Iowa doesnt allow the use of a bow as a method of take in shotgun season. So ill be out after shotgun and reel in a late season doe. May get late season muzzleloader. Allowing me to shoot buck or doe.

 

The grind finally got the best of me tonight.

My standards went out the door when I found out that the big 10 I thought I was chasing was killed a week before gun season yesterday. I happened to see the neighbor that has the adjoining property to my lease and he told me he had gotten a big 10 back on 11/12/19.

Tonight I ended up shooting the what I thought was the big 8 that I passed earlier in bow season. He actually was a 7 point with heavy mass.

Anyway my buck season done guys...

I am happy with my buck. Its just bittersweet that the 10 out smarted me so many times and I never got any pay back!
