    Welp, I finally got an arrow sent down range! Happened at first light this morning! Just a small spike, but my freezer has been void of venison for 2 years, and my wife said to get it filled! I still have a rifle doe tag, 2 archery doe tags, and Missouri let’s me take another buck for archery. I saw this deer about 80 yards west of my stand in a cut corn field, couldn’t make it out exactly, but I knew it was a doe or small buck. I bleated and grunted and got it’s attention for a second but then it went about 15 yards north, and back into the other patch of woods. I thought well, I at least saw something this morning. About 5 minutes later it came back out of the woods and started dead east towards the woods I am in. I sitting on a bunch of trails that go every which way? If it goes south I have a chance, welp, he got in my patch, and started dead south on a trail about 30 yards from me. He got in a decent lane, and I said now or never, so I let it fly. Put a decent shot on him, he mule kicked like I have never seen, his front legs came up too. He only went about 40 yards from impact. The Slick Trick mag put a huge hole in him! He is small, but will eat just fine!! IMG_1002.JPG

    Congrats @TN_TJ and @sgcableguy!

    I planned on an afternoon sit today but Christmas tree plans and errands with the family took longer than expected thus morning. My buddy that has been letting gun hunt his family farm the last couple of weeks’ duck dog gave birth to her pups this morning. So that may be shut down the next couple of weeks. Hoping to get out tomorrow afternoon with the bow.
