I hunt high, because my public land deer are hip to the nonsense! I'm usually at 20'-25', rarely lower.

usually 20 feet for me, i have a 20 foot pull up rope and when i can feel the bow tugging on the climber on my ascend, i know i'm there.

As high as I can go. No less than 20 ft for me, 30 is optimal. I like nosebleeds.

Depends. Private land I’m usually 18-20 feet and don’t have much problem going unnoticed. On public land the deer where I hunt have an uncanny ability to pick you out, so the higher the better. 25’+ most times

I have no set height. Sometimes Im 20 feet...sometimes I am 12. All depends on where I think the deer will be coming from and where I can sneak an arrow to kill them.

    Depends on where you are.

out here in the northeast I’ve found that anything below 20’ is too low and mature deer pick you off easily.

out in the Midwest in Kansas where I hunt you can be right at or below 20’ and the deer don’t seem to care.

I don’t like to get much more than 25’ though because it creates a poor shot angle at the deers vitals.

I will only go as high as the tree is wide. I will not sit at a level where the tree trunk is more narrow than my shoulders. Lucky for me I have some massive oaks on my property.

12-18’. With proper placement anticipating the approach and using cover. 30’ up 25 yard shot the arrow will exit 7” lower shrinking the vitals by 3” or so.
