In stand at 7:50. Just had 2 small bucks hanging around for the last 20-25 minutes. Kept circling each other. One would go make a scrap and rub, the other went to another tree and made his own scrape and rub. Eventually they just wondered off together. All within 25yards of me.I need dad to come by now.

Live from the most pointless and boring day of work in the year for me. Sitting at an employee benefits fair ready to spend the day listening to people complain about how the benefits are not good enough. Wishing I was in a treestand instead.

I feel your pain. My day doesn't sound that rough, but I'm at work just the same. I've found it more difficult to focus at work this November compared to prior years. It feels like deer season is slipping away far too quickly.

I will say though - I am a gun hunter in addition to being a bow hunter and I am beyond excited for Friday's opener. That may catch some flack around here, but I truly do enjoy the group of hunters I spend time with this weekend. A very safe and ethical group with no pressure and lots of fun. I hope some of you have the same experience.

I only have a few bow hunts left in me for the year, so this weekend's gun hunt is a very exciting prospect!

Lol. Doesn’t sound very fun. Oh well. Just drink a bunch of coffee to try and make it more enjoyable. I have been in the woods and haven’t seen anything except for a bobcat. That was pretty cool.

We had a day like that about 15 yrs ago when I was in the teaching profession. I investigated and found out the presentation wasnt a requirement. I got up and walked out after two hrs and set up my classroom. There were hundreds of teachers in the presentation. Teachers from my school asked where I went...told them to do real work ans I didnt have time for the crap. Principal never said a word.

Just had 2 more bucks come through chasing 5 does. Still not the ones I'm looking for. Hang out another 1hour and probably get down.

Unfortunately, do to my position and responsibilities, I have to be here. One of the few days of the year where a vacation day request is turned down and a sick day absolutely requires an excuse from the doctor. No way out of this for me.
