hope some of you fellas are able to get out this week or weekend. I am going to grab a short nap after work tonight and head to a spot not far from my house this evening. Its usually a doe highway depending on what the hobby farmers have in their yards each year. Its not to far outside of town. If a good doe walks by I will be shooting. Then Thursday as long as the wind doesnt change I am going down to my lease in Wisconsin for an all day sit.

I'm taking half a day off tomorrow and I'm hunting from 1 to dark. I dont have a lot of time off available but I can take it on short notice. I'm also going to hunt hard this weekend with likely all day sits which I haven't been able to do so far. Season has been up and down for me and I'm still coping with some personal stuff. I'll have to buy a gun tag to bow hunt after Saturday. Dumb but it is what it is. Anyway I hope y'all are well and your seasons are good. Good luck fellas.

Our gun opener is this weekend, so I am out for the next two weeks. After those two weekends there is a muzzle loader season. I am going to give late season a chance but We don't have much for food left on our property so there is not much to draw them in. Was a very slow buck season for me.

Seems really odd because the weather was so perfect.

Shot low in Wyoming and didn’t get a shot off in Kansas. Sat all day last Friday in Oklahoma and rattled in a fork horn. Was looking for one of these two deer.

Headed to Wyoming for Thanksgiving this weekend and hope to get a chance to at least kill a doe. I plan to hunt Oklahoma on Friday on the way through but it’s supposed to rain all day. If so, I’ll just keep driving. Keep grinding boys.

I haven’t been out much. I haven’t given up. A few years ago I got a 9 pointer on thanksgiving morning. I still have a little over two months to get it done.

I am still out and about. My number 1 got hit low by the neighbor and they never found him. Our cameras really dried up the last couple weeks which seems odd because I know the neighbors have been in hitting it hard over the gun season and we have not. Would have though that would have sent some deer our way. We have an acre of standing beans and a cut corn field so hopefully me and my buddy can play our poker hands well for some late season sits. I am going to slick the next good doe that walks by and hopefully as December rolls around and the temps drop that will draw some good bucks to the food we have waiting for them.

We had opening weekend of rifle season last weekend. It was for the birds. Seems everyone was dropping deer but me. And there was standing corn everywhere. I’ll be out with a bow in hand tomorrow afternoon, though. I still have until the end of January to put some more points on the board.

I heard a freakish number of rifles going off. I cant believe how many deer must have hit the ground in my area.

Just had one about 25 yards that I couldn’t get a shot at. Showed up right before shooting light and ran as I got an arrow nocked.

Unfortunately, that was the only one I saw this morning. Packing it in right now, but I’m going to see if I can get out for the afternoon.

I wasn’t able to hunt myself in Wyoming but did get to follow my son around as he spot and stalked whitetails. Our hunt might be on an upcoming episode of BHOD. It was really a great time. On my way back now so hopefully I can have a little luck when I get home.
