hunted saturday afternoon and have a nice 10 point at 50 yards but he got nervous and walked away. I am seeing deer just not been able to close the deal.
Sorry I've been MIA guys, been super busy buht I have not forgot about ya. I'll give a little update. Still don't have a deer over 120 on camera. Dropped one of my bows from about 13 feet up a couple weeks ago when my bow rope broke and messed up the rest. Didn't see anything last night until last light. Had a big body deer walk right past my stand at 15 yards. Head down, on a mission. Too dark to see rack, but walked in front of my trail camera up the hill. Pulled the card and saw it was a buck I've passed a few times now. If he lives a few years he will be pretty nice. nothing for me. my 3 public spots have all been closed down for the 5 day gun permit hunts but today is the day that they all end so I will be after them again real soon
I haven't been out since I missed the 10pt couple fridays ago. Hoping to go out Friday evening and Sunday. Son was home this weekend from college so hung out with him, youngest daughter is on swim team and travel volleyball team. Swim meets every Tuesday and Saturday. Travel volleyball practices evenings 3x week 30 minutes away. Middle daughter is in orchestra and the high school play/musical so running back and forth to all her practices and concerts. Sat this past weekend for 2 days, didn't see anything, which is typically odd for those spots. But it was a bright moon, so they may have been more active at night.
I have been hunting everyday and see does and small bucks, but the Big Ones don't seem to be here this year, No big ones on camera either.. This time last year I was tagged out.. Just a tough year but still have lots of season left..
