    Just passed up a 2.5yr old 8pt. I think I'm doing the right thing on the last day? Always thinking of the future. If I shoot him he has no chance to be big. In here they can get old.

    Today's the first day that I've felt not totally committed and excited about being out here. Went from pretty good action monday to zilch. I've moved around to make sure not to wear out spots but these bucks are just no shows. Scrapes haven't been hit at all. Hoping the lock down breaks before I do.

    We have deer that has gone past us twice to get a drink. Haven’t had a good look at it yet. Wind seems to have shifted to be out of the southwest, that is good for us.

    Hapoened to me back in 2009.

    Perfect shot, low 40's and slow warm up. Just after sunrise so I climbed down and switched stands to double up. Missed my chance as they were already in the acorns. Got busted at full draw 35yds out. Went back just over an hour later and she was torn to hell.

    I salvaged the straps, one hind quarter and the front quarters. Has me afraid to let one sit very long now and one of the min reasons I will not hunt evenings on days I have to work the next day

    And some jack wagon just drove his sxs down here. Yelled at him and he stops. I said What are you doing? This is private property! He says oh I didnt know you were in here...and turns around and leaves. He's on both my cameras now. SMH.

    He had 3 young kids with him or I probably would have cussed him out.

    I dont even know if I should even sit the rest of the day here now.
