Crap, how in the hell can I forget the boonie. It's always about the boonie.

I remember when VS started recruiting people to join the boonie brigade. Been a member ever since, and the same boonie to boot.

They do but I have factors that help make my decision. Ive already killef a buck on this place. The deer kill numbers are down 70% on this place from 10 yrs ago. The buck was 2.5. I know there is a big mature buck in that area...and I have to work in an hr and a half. Lol

I didn't see anything in stand today. Did hear 3 gunshots in the near distance. Hope the big guys are making it.

Taking tomorrow off, may make it out Saturday for a doe.

If not I will be back out there next weekend in blaze orange. Tough chiice to make.

Bow or hand cannon. Wish I could take both, but do not believe that is legal.

Didn’t see a single deer this evening...just 2 healthy looking coyotes that didn’t come close enough for a shot. Will be back in the hardwoods tomorrow morning, plan to hunt until at least noon. Saw a good buck trotting across the field when I was pulling out of here this morning at 11:15 so they are moving during the middle of the day here.

    We'll see

Wwnt to see how many others are hunting out there, I'll have all options with me but may need to reach out and touch something of everyone is hunting.

No one hunted last year during shotgun, I couldn't get an OTC tag. If I am only one or one of two bow will be likely option.

I’m 99% sure that it’s perfectly legal to take both during the gun season, on private property, but the animal gets a gun tag regardless of weapon.
I actually love the gun season. I only take the bow now, but I’m always on deer.
I also see great chasing and rutting action too, due to them running into each other everywhere.
I’ll be exhausted by then, but I try not to miss it!

Just got caught up since I have no signal where I am hunting. I struck out tonight except for having to signal to another hunter to let him know I was there. I saw him checking GPS coordinates that seemed to be guiding him to some point on the ground that would have been about 20 yards from my stand?? Gotta love public! Ha ha
