Going through terrain like that, you need a good frame pack and the gutless method. Way easier than dragging a deer out through that.

I having been taking my oldest with me the last four years and my middle son the last three, with a crossbow for them to shoot the last two years. We would see deer almost every hunt, but never in range for my compound or the crossbow. This year, I decided they were old enough to go during gun season. I killed a doe with my middle son there this past weekend. Planning on taking my oldest out Saturday with the rifle to let him shoot his first deer. I am going to take my bow along in case one comes into bow range, but the primary goal will be for him to shoot. It would be awesome if we could double on a couple of does.

Wanna talk about bad luck? I remembered I had a Reese’s Tree in my bag. I was so excited I reached in an grabbed it and while pulling it out I dropped it  2B72688E-7403-47D8-A552-5E827D982F60.jpeg
