Matt, I'm anxious to hear, and even more anxious to receive mine and run my arrows through her to compare her to my 82nd. Did you get Matt / PA's pictures and specs on his 340? 29" IBO'd 335! ! !
Same here Rob! My 82nd at 28" 61# shot a 376 grain arrow at 312fps. Plenty fast, but I think all the other qualities of the Destroyer will what really make it shine. I can't wait to get both my 340 and my 350 ;-) Dan
been looking at there site, what do the bows weigh ? guess i missed it. it's about a hour drive to see one, maybe next week.
I don't think BowTech has a weight listed, but from most reports I'm hearing I think it was. 340 3.9# 350 4.1# Maybe Matt weighed his? Dan
Dan answered the poundage but remember, That was the BC. Matt / PA will tweak it out to his longer draw length and should push the 340 threshold. May even rate over the IBO of the bow.
My BC came in at 334, so they are apparently faster than spec. My 340 also weighs 4.6lbs on a digital pelouze 7710, but it has the Tripwire rest installed, and the stud to mount a Bantamweight quiver attached. It still has the tags too ;-) Without that stuff, I'm sure it would be just barely over 4lbs.
I've got some 315gr arrows made up for 3D too, I'll run a few through @ 5gpp and 30" exactly next week and post the results for you guys.
lol.......I actually thought about changing it yesterday and just never got around to it. The man has ice in his veins........possibly the greatest competitor and mentally strongest to ever play any sport at the professional level. I've read a LOT of stuff about sports psychology, and that one quote sums it all up in so few words. I do think it's time to change it though......
Just a thought..... ANY time I hear rumors of bows performing beyond IBO, out of the box.....I wonder what the actual #-age (DW) is v. stated. Have you checked the DW of these out of the box? I was also wondering how the IBO works on a 65-75# DW bow (as far as BC). Sweet shooting bow, for sure. "Best"? Who knows? Way too subjective, of course.
Jeff, The BC read 72lbs, but when I weighed on my Pelouze 7710 on a draw board, I got 69.8lbs. My scale is one of the best you can buy ($150+), so I'm not sure who is right. Maybe they are weighed from a vertical scale in the factory where the mass weight is added?
