Hoping I get a promotion this year so she can just be a stay at home mom, which is what she wants, then I’ll be a free bird except for the kids extra activities. But I’m def getting snipped this time, 4 is all I’d ever want. Too expensive

    Yes.
It feels a little "off" for me.
Can't say exactly what it is though.

I do feel like all the deer were more nocturnal this year then others. Private and public

Sweaty. Saw a fox as soon as I got in the stand. I’ve never seen a fox while hunting, just crossing the road. I was looking for my rangefinder and heard some movement in the bedding. Sounded like it was going the c wrong way. I grunted to no avail. If it wants to circle down wind... I have shots on either side. E7B574EB-FD24-4D6C-A196-0D841A3A53D9.jpeg

Well I was hungry now I’m starving! I’m all set up with my grandpa hopefully we can have some action. Seen one while setting up and heard one before dark. Besides that a bird landed in our blind window so that was cool to watch!

    Thank you Veterans!

I woke up to a downpour. It is supposed stop between 10-11. Skipped the early morning hunt to make the family breakfast and take the kids to school. Hoping to get out mid morning if the rain moves off. Otherwise, I will finish processing the doe I killed Saturday.

Food for thought for small property owners who think they will never see big bucks. So first photo you will see my 12 acre homesite which features a crop field and 3 wooded ravines. Every year they use these ravines as travel corridors cruising for hot does. I tagged out before things took off last year on another piece of private I hunt. Next couple of photos are a giant from this year and I think is the same buck year prior. Amazing how they don’t own a calendar but are pretty spot on as far as dates go.

Keep hammering. Dont accept defeat buddy. Minus my buck last month, I have been crushed. Making me question every move I make. Im striking out on deer sightings 80% of my sits. Bring it.

Just had a really nice buck come out of the bean field. He came in behind me and headed towards the doe bedding area. Hopefully he makes his way back through here

Here's one of life's imponderables........that a 2 ounce chipmunk can sound like a 200 lb buck walking through the woods

I'm calling it, would stick it out but this cottonwood is seating so bad I don't think I could shoot. Also have ice on my stand and sticks from the rain we got before the snow. Good luck guys[IMG]
