    Well, it was a long night for reasons unrelated to deer hunting. Sorry to leave y’all hanging for that long...I shot a meat buck (small 2 year old 7 pt) and he took 5 steps and peeled over. In all honesty, I couldn’t be more excited about it. Pics tmo when I get them and I’ll just tell the story then too so it’s all together. Back at it in the AM. I need to get to bed.

    About ready to go out the door. Unfortunately, I just got pics from one of my cell cams and guess what? Three coon hunters and their dogs passed by my stand 2 hours ago! This is private property that no one else has permission on. I'm sorry if this offends anyone here that coon hunts but I personally have never met one that wasn't an outlaw. They think because it's dark they can just go anywhere they please. And if by some miracle they do get busted by a CO they always say "well I was just retrieving my dogs." Grrrrr!!!

    Heading back out to where I left the climber a couple days ago. Hopefully it’s still there if not I have a ladder stand about 200yds away. Hopefully that big 10 presents himself again. He had the heart pumping. Good luck everyone. It’s supposed to warm up some today might reach mid 40s. I’d rather be warm in a stand and not see deer than be cold in a stand and not see any.

    I up as well. This will be my last sit during the rut and possibly of the year. It's been my slowest season in years as far as deer sightings goes. So hopefully today is the day because it kinda has to be.

    Pretty slow day nearsih Madison Wisconsin yesterday. Hoping today's rising pressure helps. He is headed to where I've shot a buck the past 3 seasons. It's a great stand and the wind will be about perfect. Wish is was colder...34 degrees right now. Good luck my friends.

    Alright fellas I’m headed to the stand. I e baby hunting hard this week. Brother in law took a nice buck yesterday in our woods so hopefully it’s my turn

    Stopping at the in laws for my morning bathroom ritual. Couldn't get it done at home this morning. The grizzly wintergreen and coffee made short work of it though. Both in laws are heavy smokers so I walk in with as little clothing as possible. What ya gonna do right? Let get it today fellas.

    I'm in. I'm hunting the 830 deer. Leaves and ground were frozen noisy as heck getting in. I should know better and get here earlier. Oh well. Good luck
