What's the word guys? What have you been seeing? Any close encounters?

I'm going out tomorrow morning and plan to sit all day if the deer are there. If not I will make a move mid day to new area I have been wanting to check out.

You might get wet tomorrow evening. You may want to pack rain gear in. I was hoping to go out but with forecasted rain I don’t need to put myself through that. Going to have to wait until next Tuesday to get out again. We are headed to Pittsburg on Friday evening to visit my son at college. It’s his birthday so figured we would spend the weekend there. Pa season ends on the 16th so I have next week to try to get er done!!

I threw my rain gear in the truck just in case. It looks like for my area, the rain will hold off til right after last light.

Not a lot of movement for me. Had tons of activity right before the cold front in Oct. 30th but cameras have been slow since. Most of the ag fields have yet to be picked. I've seen some small bucks on stand. Rattled in a really nice 2 year old Monday night.

The good news is I have several bucks in the area that I'd be happy with. Vacation stays Friday morning so I'm going to hit it hard.

I think worst case it rains the last hour, I will just tough it out. Hopefully with the rain coming will get some early deer movement.

I’ve been seeing a lot of does and younger bucks following, no big boys yet. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow but gonna be in the stand regardless!

Keep at it, I think it's going to break lose any day again! I feel those big boys are lock down with the first does and will be moving on to the next one any day!

So yesterday I hunted the rain for a couple hours until it soaked through my layers and I started to get cold, out of the stand about 9am. The rain broke around 2pm, headed into the stand and I don’t know if it was the cold front or perfect timing but the rut kicked into full force! From yesterday’s afternoon hunt to today’s all day sit I’ve seen well over 30 deer, of those, three shooters that haven’t come into range yet, full on as fast as they can chasing and fighting, I’ve heard my first ever snort wheeze today, I grunted a shooter from up the ridge and he came downwind of me and ended up behind me where I had no shot! It was insane, by far best hunting I’ve ever had. Tomorrow’s my last day here hope to get it done or I might not be hopping on the plane home!
